During transitions, parents and professionals may not always feel confident in teaching the activities of daily living - everyday tasks like bathing, dressing, eating and toileting. This webinar covers considerations and strategies for creating capable environments that promote personal care, health and emotional wellbeing.

We’ll examine real examples from our services- including how we support a Post-19 learner preparing to move on from our hubs, and how teams at Park House and Tram House School work to uphold dignity while fostering independence in the toilet.

Join us to reflect on what it takes to balance support with autonomy, and how thoughtful environments can make all the difference.

BeyondAutism

BeyondAutism is a charity working to ensure autistic children and young adults access an education that empowers a life full of choice, independence and opportunity.

We provide expert education services from pre-school to 25, delivering rapid outcomes through our Early Years, schools, and Post-19 services. Our Outreach and Fast Responder® teams work across the country to reduce school placement breakdown and build long-term local capacity.
